PREGNANCY TEST WITH WEEKS INDICATOR

PREGNANCY TEST RESULTS ARE DISPLAYED IN SWEDISH.

The Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test with Week Indicator is the first and only test that is as accurate as an ultrasound when it comes to pregnancy**. The smart Dual Sensor™ not only tells you whether you are pregnant or not, it also tells you how many weeks pregnant you are.

  • It's like two tests in one - first, it detects with 99% accuracy whether the pregnancy hormone is present from the day you expected your period, and if you are pregnant, it ALSO tells you how many weeks have passed since conception, 1-2, 2-3 or more than 3 weeks (3+). The week indicator determines with 93% accuracy when you conceived.
  • The test is so sensitive that you can test up to 5 days before your period is missed*.
  • Within three minutes, the result "Pregnant" (Swedish: "Gravid") or "Not pregnant" (Swedish: "Inte gravid") will appear on the screen. If the result is "Pregnant", the test will also show the time since conception (1-2, 2-3 or 3+ weeks).

* Can be used up to 5 days before your missed period (i.e. four days before your expected period). In laboratory tests, 98% of positive results were detected the day before your expected period, 97% were detected two days before, 90% three days before and 65% four days before your expected period.

**Weekly result is 97% consistent with later ultrasound scans. Based on a study of 187 women whose results (1-2, 2-3, 3+ weeks from conception) were compared with ultrasound.

HOW TO USE THE CLEARBLUE DIGITAL PREGNANCY TEST WITH WEEK INDICATOR?

  1. Before you start

Always read the entire user manual carefully before using the Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test with Week Indicator.

If you are testing on the day of your expected period, you can test at any time of day to find out if you are pregnant. If you are testing early and want an accurate weekly result, you should use your first morning urine. Do not drink too much fluid before using a digital pregnancy test.

When you are ready to test, remove the test stick from the foil wrapper and peel off the blue sleeve. Use the test immediately.

2.How to perform the test?

Simply hold the absorbent tip pointing downwards into the urine stream for 5 seconds. Be careful not to get the rest of the digital pregnancy test strip wet.

You can also collect your urine sample in a clean, dry container. Place the absorbent tip in the urine for only 20 seconds.

Put the sleeve back on and let the test lie on a flat surface.

Hold the test stick with the tip facing down or place the digital pregnancy test on a flat surface while you wait for the result.

IMPORTANT!

Never hold the test strip with the absorbent tip facing up.

3.Wait 3 minutes

When you have taken the Clearblue Pregnancy Test with Week Indicator, a flashing hourglass symbol will appear on the screen to show that the test is working. When the hourglass stops flashing, your result will be displayed.

4.Results

The result will be displayed within three minutes.

It is possible that the "Pregnant" result appears before the week indicator result. Wait until the hourglass stops flashing to see the week indicator result.

Your result remains on the screen for about one day.

How accurate is the Clearblue DIGITAL Pregnancy Test with Week Indicator at detecting pregnancy?

It is over 99% accurate in determining whether you are pregnant or not when used on the day of your expected period. If you test before your expected period and get a "Not Pregnant" result, there is still a chance you are pregnant. See below.

When can I use the Clearblue DIGITAL Pregnancy Test with Week Indicator?

Pregnancy hormone levels rise rapidly in early pregnancy and Clearblue Digital can be used up to five days before your missed period (i.e. four days before your expected period). In laboratory tests on early pregnancy samples, Clearblue Digital has given the following results:

Number of days until expected menstruation -1 -2 -3 -4
% of samples from pregnant women with a result of "Pregnant" 98% 97% 90% 65%

Frequently asked questions

To find out when your period is due, you first need to calculate how long your cycle usually lasts. You do this by counting the number of days from the first day of your period to the day before your next period starts.

  • If your cycles are irregular, you should start with your longest cycle in the past few months before testing.
  • If you are not sure when your period will be, we recommend taking the test no earlier than 19 days after your last unprotected sex.

How accurate is the Clearblue Weekly Indicator?

The Week Indicator is 93% accurate in calculating when you conceived compared to the time since ovulation. A published study comparing the Week Indicator to an ultrasound (11-13 weeks) showed that the results were consistent 97% of the time*.

*Johnson et al. CMRO (2011) 27(2):393-401

The Clearblue DIGITAL Pregnancy Test with Week Indicator shows that I am pregnant, but I don't think I conceived on the day the week indicator shows. Is this possible?

The accuracy of the weekly indicator is 92% when you test with your first morning urine. Some medications and medical conditions can affect the results. See the question below.

Can medication or illness affect the outcome?

Always read the manufacturer's instructions for the medications you are taking before performing the test.

  • Fertility products containing hCG can give misleading results. (These are usually given by injection, and if you test too soon after the injection, the test result may incorrectly show "Pregnant".)
  • Other fertility treatments (e.g. clomiphene citrate), painkillers and hormonal contraceptives (e.g. birth control pills) do not affect the result.
  • If you have recently stopped hormonal contraception or are taking fertility treatments such as clomiphene citrate, your periods may be irregular, so you may want to get tested early.
  • Ectopic pregnancy, ovarian cysts, menopause, and some rare diseases can produce misleading results.

If the result is not as expected, you should consult an obstetrician or gynecologist.

I tested myself before and got a “Pregnant” result, but then I checked again and got a “Not Pregnant” result, or my period started. What does this mean?

Although the test is 99% accurate in detecting the pregnancy hormone from the day your period is due, it is possible that you get a “Pregnant” result but later find out that you are not pregnant. This could be due to a miscarriage in the early stages of pregnancy. This is not uncommon, as around one in four pregnancies unfortunately end in early miscarriage. If you get unexpected results, you should consult your doctor.

The Clearblue DIGITAL Pregnancy Test with Week Indicator shows that I am not pregnant. What should I do?

It's possible that you're not pregnant, your pregnancy hormone levels aren't high enough yet to show a result, or you may have miscalculated the date of your expected period.

  • If you tested early, repeat the test when your period is expected.
  • If your period is late, check again in 3 days. If this test shows "Not Pregnant" and your period still hasn't arrived, you should see your midwife or gynecologist.

The Clearblue DIGITAL Pregnancy Test with Week Indicator shows that I am pregnant. What should I do?

If the test shows that you are pregnant, you should contact your obstetrician or gynecologist, who will advise you on what to do next.

What is a test tablet?

The tests contain small desiccant granules that absorb moisture. They should not be used.

If you accidentally swallow it, consult a doctor.
